‘Cook with Blunk’ Recipe 1

Hey everybody! Here’s a delicious Banana Bread recipe for you this month!

Ingredients:

  • 3 or 4 smashed ripe bananas
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to ¾ cup)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour

Preparation:

You don’t need a mixer for this recipe. First, pre-heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Next, with a wooden spoon, mix the butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix the sugar, egg and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix by adding the flour. Then, pour the mixture into the buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan. Bake it for 1 hour, and cool it on a rack. Finally, remove it from the pan to slice and serve.
